Joanne’s story:

Joanne and Jason both have 9C1’s that they love to take to car shows.  They started off in the Ceres & Fresno area where they met at a party and became friends.  They knew each other a long time before dating. Soon it became a loving relationship.  Joanne got a transfer to the Los Angeles area (actually a suburb on the way to Palm Springs) and Jason lovingly followed her.  Late 2007 Joanne was getting pains in her body and after a short while decided they better go to the hospital.  Many hours and days of diagnosis and stays in the hospital, the conclusive diagnosis was Lupus, a disease that attacks the immune system.  In particular, it kills the white blood cells that protect her from infections.  She has major blood clots, and Fibromyalgia which causes major pain in the legs.  The Lupus is also affecting her kidneys.

Because of the disease, just like me, she couldn’t do her job and was let go.  In the middle of all this Jason no longer is working and is home taking care of Joanne but is looking for another job.  She has pain in her legs and ankles.  If she’s on her feet too long she has to elevate them to relieve the pain.  Her medical insurance is only Medicare and COBRA from her past job that is extremely expensive.  Their two families are helping them in every way they can.  Joanne is slowly on the road to getting better.  The medical bills are their major expenses now. I’ve been there and I know how fast they come!

As a group we can help this couple ease the onslot of the medical bills.  We are going to take the profits of the Sacramento RODarama and give them directly to Joanne and Jason.  Maybe it’ll be enough to pay for their gas!  Maybe it’ll be enough to pay for 12 months of COBRA!! It’s all up to us to make it happen.  You have done it before for me and I know we can do it again!!!  I’ve seen personally how much people care and I want to see it again.  I know times are tough right now.  Maybe don’t go out to dinner one night and put it toward this couple in need.

We’re ‘paying it forward’ again and it feels good to do so!!

PLEASE HELP US HELP THEM WITH YOUR KIND DONATION.

Thank You Very Much!
